The Knight and the Moth – A Voice-Led Review

Listen to the voice that lingers like memory:

My skin broke, my armor dented. But I did not diminish.
— The Knight and the Moth, by Rachel Gillig

Reflection

In this voice-led review, we follow Sybil’s transformation—from sheltered seer to reluctant champion—and the knight, Rodrick, guardian of secrets and provocateur of doubt. Their tension is a collision of faith and rebellion, each scene a measured inch forward in a dance of mistrust and necessity.

And then, there’s the gargoyle. One of my favorite characters in this book.

The Knight and the Moth is a slow unraveling of boundaries—between duty and desire, belief and defiance. And like all good whisperings, it leaves you leaning in.

If you listen closely, you might just hear the cathedral sigh.
